WELLESLEY, Mass. (AP) - Babson College has received a $36 million donation that will be used to build a new 10,000-square-foot building on campus.

The gift comes from alumnus Robert Weissman and his wife, Jan, who have now donated a total of $100 million to the private business school in Wellesley.

College President Kerry Healey thanked the Weissmans and said they “will continue to drive excellence at Babson for generations to come.”

The donation will be used on a new building at the center of campus that will include a four-season garden, a cafe and study areas.

Robert Weissman is a former CEO of the Dun & Bradstreet Corp. and co-founded the information consulting company Cognizant Technology Solutions.

He and his wife previously established a scholarship program and an endowed professorship at Babson.
