BOUNTIFUL, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a man was hospitalized after falling 100 feet (30.6 meters) onto a Utah hillside after the canopy on his paraglider collapsed.

The Deseret News reports the Davis County Sheriff’s Office says rescue crews found the 29-year-old man Sunday near the hillside above the Bountiful B tourist and hiking attraction in good condition with minor injuries.

He was transported to an area hospital by ambulance for further evaluation.

The hard landing happened shortly before 6 p.m.
