FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Authorities say a man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision on an Alaska highway.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports Alaska State Troopers say Fairbanks resident Meghan Blemke was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry northbound on the George Parks Highway at 10:20 p.m. Friday when she lost control and crossed the center line at Mile 172 near Hurricane Gulch.

The Camry was T-boned by a southbound 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by Dominic Comerate, also of Fairbanks.

Troopers say the highway was wet and icy, as rain and snow were falling at the time of the incident.
