DEAL, N.J. (AP) - Four people were rescued after a small catamaran capsized in waters off the New Jersey shore and a good Samaritan began struggling while trying to aid in the rescue.

The boat with three people aboard capsized around 2:45 p.m. Sunday in waters off Deal.

Two lifeguards rowed through strong winds to reach the three and helped them get back into the catamaran. But as they started guiding the disabled boat back to shore, a person aboard another catamaran jumped into the water in a bid to help but instead needed to be rescued as well.

No injuries were reported.
