ANALYSIS/OPINION:

On today’s episode of The View, Meghan McCain tried valiantly to walk the fine line between criticizing President Trump’s choice of words when he called fake news the “enemy of the American people” and at the same time pointing out that, indeed, there appeared to be a significant anti-Trump bias at most mainstream media outlets.

It seemed like a perfectly reasonable position to take so, naturally, her co-panelists screamed their objections at her all at the same time. Free Beacon captured the moment:

The most notable exchange was with CNN’s Ana Navarro who took exception to McCain’s contention that CNN was to Democrats what Fox News is to Republicans.

Navarro lept to CNN’s defense.

“CNN tries to be very balanced,” Navarro said. “CNN has commentators on like me and every time I’m on, I’m on against somebody that is defending Trump.”

Yeah. Ana Navarro is the picture if calm, respectful and fair political dialogue
