FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina accuse a woman of killing a man she had dated by hitting him with her car during an argument.

The Fayetteville Police Department said in a news release that 47-year-old Sofornia Faulkner was charged with voluntary manslaughter. It wasn’t clear if she had an attorney. A phone listing was disconnected.

Authorities say that she hit 51-year-old Daren White with her Honda Civic during an argument. Police say that the two were in a years-long domestic relationship.

White was found dead Friday morning after a passer-by called 911 to the scene near a house.
