MONROVIA, Ind. (AP) - A central Indiana sheriff says two people are dead after an early morning fire swept a log cabin-style home in a rural area.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says two people were found dead Friday in the home in the Morgan County town of Monrovia.

Sheriff Robert Downey says the department received a call about the fire between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. at the home in a heavily wooded area about 25 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

The fire remains under investigation by local fire officials and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
