MAXATAWNY, Pa. (AP) - A 4-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a piece of farm equipment in eastern Pennsylvania.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office says MichaelLyn Wenger was struck by a manure spreader around 9:15 a.m. Saturday at a farm in Maxatawny. But it wasn’t immediately clear if the child lived at the farm or if he was visiting.

The boy was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead there shortly after 10 a.m. The cause of death was blunt-force trauma, and the death has been ruled an accident.



No other injuries were reported in the accident, which remains under investigation by state police.
