3-week-old baby struck, killed by car in South Carolina

BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A 3-week-old baby girl has died in a car crash in South Carolina.

WPDE-TV reports that Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown says a car struck the child and her 20-year-old mother while they were walking Sunday night.

The mother’s condition hasn’t been released.

The crash remains under investigation. No further information has been released, and it’s unclear if anyone was arrested.

The victims’ names haven’t been released.
