YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a train hit a SUV on the railroad tracks in this southwestern Arizona city, killing the vehicle’s driver.

Yuma Police Sgt. Lori Franklin says that the accident occurred about 1:45 p.m. Sunday.

She says the 36-year-old man was driving a Toyota Sequoia westbound at the railroad tracks when it was struck by an eastbound train. No one on the train was hurt.



Police are investigating what happened.

The man’s name has not been released.
