STAGECOACH, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on U.S. Highway 50 that killed two teenagers and injured two other people about near Stagecoach about 35 miles (56 kilometers) east of Carson City.

The patrol said Friday 18-year-old Stacie Ochoa of Stagecoach was killed when she failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled the black Honda she was driving in front of a silver Ford pickup that struck the Honda between Dayton and Silver Springs at about 3 p.m. Thursday.

A 17-year-old female passenger also died in the crash that temporarily shut down the highway. Her name has not been released.

The driver and passenger of the Ford F-350 were treated for unspecified injuries.

The patrol says impairment is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
