FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a California man charged with second-degree murder for an alleged drunken driving crash that killed a 6-year-old girl was previously convicted of DUI.

Police said Maximino Delgado’s blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit Saturday when he lost control of his SUV and drove onto the sidewalk, killing Grace Aguilar while she was outside playing.

Police say Delgado, who was charged Wednesday, continued driving on the sidewalk before crashing into a parked vehicle. It wasn’t known if he has an attorney.
