RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police in Reno say the suspect in a crash that killed a 15-year-old girl last year has turned himself in.

Authorities on Friday said 18-year-old Reno resident Trevor Boldi surrendered himself Thursday at the Washoe County Jail.

Police say 15-year-old Katie Weingartner was struck by a vehicle when she was crossing a road June 10. She suffered a head injury and later died at an area hospital.

Police say Boldi is facing one count of reckless driving causing death.

Boldi was released around 2 a.m. Friday after posting bond. His defense attorney, Thomas Viloria, declined to comment on the case.
