Retired host of “The Daily Show” Jon Stewart took in the New York Knicks’ game against the Golden State Warriors courtside Monday night in Madison Square Garden. The outmatched Knicks actually led by one point at halftime before the Warriors got away from them in the second half and won, 125-111.
The cameras caught Stewart’s exaggeratedly bewildered reaction after Golden State’s JaVale McGee hit a fadeaway shot:

Stewart, a New York fan, might have gotten his hopes up at halftime that the Knicks would pull off the upset. At the same time, his reaction encapsulates much of what being a Knicks fan is all about. The denizens of Twitter did their thing.
