NEW YORK (AP) - A New York Police Department detective has been accused of providing false testimony in a federal carjacking case.
Federal prosecutors say Michael Foder, of Staten Island, was arraigned Tuesday in Brooklyn federal court on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. He was released on $25,000 bond.
Prosecutors say the 41-year-old Foder falsely testified under oath about when and how he showed photographs of two suspects to a robbery victim in December of 2016. They say he doctored dates on a photo lineup.
