WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say a teenager who struck someone with a brick in Washington, D.C. has been arrested.
Metropolitan police said in a news release that the 15-year-old boy was charged with assault with intent to rob and assault with a dangerous weapon (brick) on Sunday. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
News outlets report that the assailant assaulted the victim as he attempted to take the victim’s bike. A second victim approached to intervene, and the suspect struck the victim with a brick.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
