Man shot to death on New Year’s Eve in his apartment

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 39-year-old man has been found shot to death in his apartment in South Carolina on New Year’s Eve.

Greenville County deputies said they were called to the Greenville apartment to check on a gunshot victim around 8:10 p.m. Sunday.

The coroner’s office said in a statement that Jermaine Bruster was shot once in the chest and died at the scene.

Deputies did not release any other details, including if they have a motive for the shooting or any suspects.
