MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Minot man has been sentenced to serve 10 years in prison for shooting two people outside a bar and firing into a crowd with a semi-automatic rifle.

Twenty-six-year-old Steven Stewart pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempted murder and reckless endangerment in the October 2016 shooting outside the Sports on Tap bar.

Authorities say Stewart shot a man in the parking lot after an argument and also wounded a bystander. Both of the victims survived.

Stewart fled following the shooting and was captured in Las Vegas last March.

He was ordered to pay a total of about $79,000 in restitution to the victims.
