SEVERN, Md. (AP) - Police say two people, including a teenager, were shot and wounded at a New Year’s party in Maryland.
The Capital reports Anne Arundel County police responded to shooting reports around 1 a.m. Monday and found a man who had been shot in the back at a large party. Police say they were also told that a 17-year-old boy had been shot in the arm, but was already driven to a hospital. His condition is unknown.
The man who was shot in the back was taken to a Baltimore hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither victim has been identified.
Police spokesman Lt. Ryan Frashure said at least 100 young adults attended the party, which was more than expected. The homeowners were not home at the time.
