ST. LOUIS (AP) - Police say burned human remains have been found in a trash bin in St. Louis, and homicide detectives are investigating.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the remains were discovered Friday morning in a dumpster northeast of Fairground Park.

Police Officer Michelle Woodling says officers found the remains after getting a call for help to the area.

Woodling said he had no information on the gender or approximate age of the person whose remains were found.
