NEW YORK (AP) - A man who escaped police custody has been arrested and is now facing an escape charge in addition to a petit larceny charge.
Police say the 39-year-old Brooklyn man had been taken into custody on Friday evening along with a 21-year-old North Carolina woman in connection to a past crime.
They were at Spring Street and Broadway in Manhattan, and police say the man fled from them.
He was later found and arrested.
The woman was arrested and faces charges including possession of burglar tools, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
