SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A man has died after his lawnmower slid down a hill into a pond in South Carolina.
Charleston County Deputy Coroner Christina Harrison told news outlets that 29-year-old Tomas Gomez Patishtan was cutting grass near a pond in Summerville on Tuesday when the mower slid down an embankment into the water.
Patishtan was pronounced dead at Summerville Medical Center. Harrison says the victim drowned.
Summerville police are investigating.
