NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 28-year-old man is dead and another man is hospitalized after they were hit by gunfire at a New York City street corner.

The New York Police Department says officers responded around 11 p.m. Sunday to a 911 call reporting a man being shot at the corner of Utica Avenue and Fulton Street in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant section.

Officers arriving on the scene found a man suffering gunshots to his head, abdomen and right arm. He was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His name hasn’t been released.

Police say two hours later a 24-year-old man walked into Kings County Hospital suffering from a gunshot to his right foot that was sustained in the same shooting. He’s in stable condition.

Police say no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
