EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut woman is facing a manslaughter charge in the weekend stabbing death of her boyfriend.

East Haven police say they responded to the couple’s apartment at about 1 a.m. Saturday where they found 27-year-old Glenton Whyte suffering from a stab wound to his abdomen. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His girlfriend, 28-year-old Cleisha Greene, was arrested on a second-degree manslaughter charge and held on $250,000 bond.

Police say she was the one who called 911 and it may have been self-defense.

Police say there was some sort of dispute before the stabbing, which remains under investigation.

Greene was detained and it was not clear if she had a lawyer.
