PHOENIX (AP) - A Chandler man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for domestic assault by a habitual offender.

Federal prosecutors say 60-year-old Frank Lynn Kisto also was sentenced Monday to three years of supervised release after serving the prison term.

He was accused of assaulting a woman on the Gila River Indian Community by punching her in the face in January 2017.

Kisto pleaded guilty in the case.

Prosecutors say Kisto previously was convicted in tribal court of similar assaults against domestic partners in 1999 and 2009.
