Washington Nationals fans will have to wait one more day for Opening Day than they planned.

The Nationals’ game Thursday at the Cincinnati Reds, the first game of the 2018 regular season, has been postponed to Friday due to impending inclement weather.

Friday was originally left as an open date on the calendar for the Nationals and Reds, who were scheduled to play a three-game series Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday’s game will still start at 4:10 p.m. and feature the same starting pitchers: Max Scherzer for Washington and Homer Bailey for Cincinnati.

There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation in Cincinnati for Thursday,  according to Weather.com. That chance drops to 50 percent on Friday, with the rain expected for the morning.
