A fan at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County made a golf putt 95 feet across the basketball court to win a 55-inch television in a contest at Tuesday’s basketball game.
Meanwhile, one lucky fan at the UMBC Event Center went home with a new TV after making a 95-foot putt on the game floor! Just in time to enjoy the 2018 #AEHoops championship game on their new flat screen! #AEPlayoffs #SCtop10

The putt took off bouncing on the slick floor before it settled down, but it always stayed straight and true from one baseline to the other.
The moment was featured at No. 9 in the “SportsCenter” Top 10 segment.
UMBC won Tuesday’s game, an America East Conference semifinal, 75-60 over Hartford. But the Retrievers could use a little of this fan’s luck this weekend.
In order to win the conference tournament and punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament, the Retrievers must beat No. 1 seed Vermont in the championship game Saturday. Vermont went 15-1 in America East action this year.
