The Double-A San Antonio Missions baseball team is attracting a variety of creatures to its home games.
On Thursday, the Missions’ game was briefly delayed so the grounds crew could catch a cat that found its way onto the warning track:

But that was overshadowed the next night by a snake that camped out in the outfield and required six skittish crew members to catch.

Although this is the type of thing PETA loves to get involved with, it does not appear the animal rights organization has badgered the ballclub yet.
The Missions are an affiliate of the San Diego Padres. For what it’s worth, the Missions beat the Frisco RoughRiders in both games, but the animals probably did not have anything to do with it — San Antonio is riding an 11-game winning streak and has not lost in the month of May.
