BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s top federal prosecutor is recognizing the contributions of the state’s law enforcement community ahead of National Police Week.

U.S. Attorney Christina Nolan that the state’s federal, state, local and country law enforcement officers who “quietly and consistently” put themselves in harm’s way to keep Vermonters safe.

National Police Week is being celebrated from May 13-19. The recognition is an annual tribute to law enforcement service and sacrifice.

Nolan says her office is proud of its strong and special relationship with law enforcement at all levels and they are committed to ensuring that partnership.
