ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police have detained two suspects in an armed carjacking.

Twenty-five-year-old Cordy Martin and 18-year-old Kaleea Fox are being held on suspicion of robbery, felony assault and vehicle theft.

Police say a man at 5:45 a.m. Friday used a gun to force a female employee of Alaska Native Medical Center out of her car. The suspect drove off.

The suspect was spotted driving recklessly on a busy eastside street. He crossed the centerline, crashed into another vehicle and fled on foot.

Police found Fox inside the car.

Police brought in a SWAT team and a police dog. Police found Martin hiding behind a boat, and when he refused to surrender, he was subdued by the police dog, Alex.

Martin was treated for a dog bite and taken in for questioning.
