LAWNDALE, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities are searching for a motorist who ran from the scene of a traffic stop where his SUV rolled into a sheriff’s deputy.
Officials say the deputy was slightly injured when the vehicle hit him early Monday in Lawndale. The SUV then smashed into two parked vehicles.
City News Service says the driver sprinted from the SUV after being pulled over in the city south of downtown LA.
