ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities say a driver fleeing from St. Louis police has caused a deadly crash.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the crash happened around noon Monday after officers spotted a vehicle that was believed to be connected to a homicide. Police say the driver pulled to the curb, but sped off before officers could talk to anyone. Police say the crash happened after the driver ran a stop sign.

Three people were inside the second vehicle. One of the victims, a man, was thrown from the car and killed. Police say two other passengers were taken to hospitals. The extent of their injuries weren’t immediately known.
