LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - A search continued Monday for a kayaker reported missing on a northern Colorado lake.

Loveland Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael Cerovski says two people called 911 at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday to report they had seen a man in his 50’s kayaking on Buckingham Lake west of Loveland, and then saw an empty kayak.

Battalion Chief Rick Davis tells the Reporter Herald the kayaker was visiting friends who live on the lake when he went missing.

Cervoski said searchers didn’t know where the man went into the water.

Searchers were in boats on the lake Monday morning while a drone flew overhead.
