The Minnesota Vikings’ 329-pound defensive tackle Linval Joseph scored a touchdown Sunday, which many football fans endearingly categorized as a “fat man touchdown.”
Joseph recovered a fumble and returned it 64 yards for a touchdown in the Vikings’ 23-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Everyone was surprised when Joseph turned on the jets and sprinted home. The makers of “Madden NFL 19” took notice, too: In a roster update this week, “Madden” changed Joseph’s speed rating from 68 (out of 100) to 80.

“I’m not slow,” Joseph told reporters this week. “I know I might be big, but I’m really not slow. Even when I ran the 400 and 200 (meter relay in high school), I didn’t get first, but I didn’t get last. I always made points for our team. I like running. Running is fun.”
The play was Joseph’s first NFL touchdown since entering the league in 2010.
