After being released two weeks ago, Ziggy Hood has a new home.

The former Washington Redskins defensive lineman signed Tuesday with the Miami Dolphins, according to his agent.

This is the fifth team for Hood, who was with the Redskins from 2016-2018.

Hood was released earlier this month when the Redskins needed a roster spot with injuries at other positions. His role had been diminished and had gone two of his last three games without recording a snap on defense.

In his first two seasons, Hood was a rotational lineman. In 2017, he shifted to nose tackle after expected starter Phil Taylor suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason.

Hood has also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears.
