LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say a woman in a wheelchair was killed when struck by a motorcycle while crossing a street about a block away from a marked crosswalk.
The identity of the 72-year-old woman killed Friday night was not released.
Police say the motorcycle overturned and that the 51-year-old motorcyclist suffered minor injuries, and police wrote on Twitter that the motorcyclist “is lucky to be alive.”
Police Lt. William Steinmetz said there was no indication of impairment.
The wreck occurred on South Decatur Boulevard south of West Harmon Avenue.
