NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say one driver was killed and one was injured when their vehicles collided in southeast Nebraska’s Otoe County.
Station KNCY reports that firetrucks were dispatched at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to the crash site on U.S. Highway 75 south of Nebraska City. Firefighters extinguished flames consuming a semitrailer and the other vehicle, and they put out grass fires on both sides of the highway.
Investigators say the truck was struck when the other vehicle crossed into its path.
Authorities say the truck driver was injured and the driver of the other vehicle was killed. Their names haven’t been released.
