OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP) - Two people are dead after a Monday evening shooting in north Mississippi.

The DeSoto County coroner’s office tells local news outlets that 20-year-old Rodney Clark and 17-year-old Chavez Aldridge were killed in Olive Branch.

Don Gammage, the police chief in the Memphis, Tennessee, suburb, says police are looking for one woman and two men as suspects. Gammage isn’t naming the suspects, but says they’re between the ages of 18 and 20.

Police say a fight escalated into gunfire, with a large number of shots fired.

Neighbors say those involved were friends and were often seen together in the neighborhood.

A witness says one victim was shot in the face, and the other was shot in the chest. The bodies were sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab in Pearl for autopsy.
