BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts gas prices are still on the rise, and have now jumped 35 cents per gallon since mid-February.
AAA Northeast announced Monday that the average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular in Massachusetts jumped another 8 cents in the past week to $2.69.
Despite the steep increases, the local price remains 15 cents per gallon lower than the national average, but 2 cents higher than the in-state price a year ago.
AAA found a wide range in prices from a low of $2.47 per gallon to a high of $3.05.
Crude oil prices moved higher Monday when U.S. State Department announced plans to end to end sanction waivers for countries importing Iranian oil in an attempt to end all oil exports from that country.
