ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two women were struck and killed by a train in Florida.

The Florida Times-Union reports that 46-year-old Christine Holmes Griggs and 55-year-old Jacqueline Marie McCleary died Wednesday evening in St. Augustine.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office says one of the women apparently stumbled while crossing the tracks. The other woman went to help, and both were hit by the train.
