NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 51-year-old worker on a scaffold in Manhattan was struck and killed by falling bricks.

It happened at about 11:30 a.m. Monday on East 50th Street near Second Avenue.

Police say the unidentified worker was hit in the head.

He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
