LEXINGTON, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally attacked in Lexington.

The Lexington Police Department identified the man as 22-year-old Hussein Nuri, who lived in Lexington.

Police were called to a downtown Lexington bar around 1:30 a.m. Saturday for a report of a man lying unresponsive in the bar’s parking lot. Police say the man later identified as Nuri had injuries consistent with an assault. He was pronounced dead later at a hospital.

The man suspected in his slaying remained in Dawson County custody Wednesday. Court records don’t show that he’s been formally charged.
