LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - Obadiah Noel drove to the hoop and scored with five seconds left to give UMass Lowell a 73-71 victory over winless Central Connecticut State on Sunday.

CCSU (0-8) turned the ball over on the ensuing inbounds to end the game.

Noel and Connor Withers scored 16 points each and had eight and nine rebounds, respectively, for the River Hawks (4-5) with Josh Gantz adding 13 points Christian Lutete 10.



Jamir Coleman tied a career high with 27 points for the Blue Devils (0-8). Greg Outlaw added 16 points. Stephane Ayangma had seven rebounds.
