There’s a bug going around the New England Patriots’ locker room. It first became public when they listed nine players on their Wednesday injury report with “illness.”
Apparently, the illness is serious enough to cause the Patriots to take two planes to Houston for their Sunday night game against the Texans — one carrying the sick players, the other carrying the healthy, ESPN’s Field Yates reported.
With an illness sweeping the locker room this week, the Patriots did something uncommon in traveling to Houston: the team flew in two planes, one to accommodate those who were sick and keep others away from them. Nine players are questionable because of the sickness.

Whatever’s going around, linebacker Kyle Van Noy caught it later in the week, bringing it to 10 players with “illness” on the Friday injury report.
Of those 10, nine are listed as questionable to play Sunday. Only tight end Ryan Izzo was ruled out.
Other players affected by the bug include five defensive starters: linebackers Van Noy, Dont’a Hightower and Jamie Collins, cornerback Stephon Gilmore and safety Patrick Chung.
