Children attempting to perform a nativity play at the Place Saint-Georges so enraged left-wing activists that they were barraged with screams of “stop the fascists.”
La Depeche recently reported on the Dec. 14 scene, which ultimately closed down the performance.
“Distressing,” the newspaper wrote after the Toulouse event. “It was with the cries of ‘Stop to the fascists!’ that about fifty individuals, interrupted on Saturday, around 4 p.m. the living crib with choirs, which was to take place until 6 p.m., Place Saint-Georges. … The Archbishop of Toulouse [Robert Le Gall] reacted in a press release: ‘This joyful demonstration with Christmas songs and Nativity scenes played by children and adults … has no other purpose than to give depth to this celebration.”
Mayor of Toulouse Jean-Luc Moudenc blasted the “irresponsible behavior” of the activists on Twitter, Breitbart reported.
