Hillary Clinton may be many things — former senator, former State Department secretary, former first lady, former failed presidential candidate, former email erasing expert. And so on and so forth.

But what she isn’t is a lesbian.

And thanks to her guest appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” now we all know that. Great. Awesome. It’s good to put to rest what USA Today described as long-lingering rumors — as “years-old rumors and tabloids claiming that she was interested in women.”

At long last, we can all sleep.

“Contrary to what you may hear,” Clinton told Stern, USA Today reported, “I actually like men.”

Speechless? Not Stern.

Raise your right hand and swear, he said, that “[you’ve] never had a lesbian affair.”

And Clinton’s response: I’ve not.

“Never, never, never,” she said. “Never even been tempted, thank you very much.”

It’s hard to see where Clinton’s going with this; a public relations’ makeover is one thing — but if this is her idea of softening her image to lay the groundwork for a return to politics, then one has to wonder: WTFreak?

She was actually on the show to promote her book, “The Book of Gutsy Women,” co-authored with her daughter, Chelsea.

And among some of the other interesting tidbits she offered during the interview?

Before there was Bill, there were plenty of other men.

“There was somebody before [Bill], not to marry, but I loved him,” she said, adding that she “dated a lot of different people.”

She loves the Rolling Stones; counts Mick Jagger as a friend.

And contrary to popular belief, her frequent coughs on the campaign trail were not signs of her impending death. As proof, she coughed for Stern.

“They make a big deal out of it,” Clinton said. “I thought I’d come on and cough some more.”

All interesting, all good ratings for Stern. But the only thing anyone’s going to talk about is Clinton’s denial of lesbianism. Wonder if the LGBTQ community will condemn her insensitivity.
