Redskins video assistant Jack Gruden, who is the son of coach Jay Gruden, was arrested early Saturday morning in Ashburn, Virginia, and charged with being drunk in public.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Gruden, 22, got into three different verbal confrontations. A deputy officer on patrol observed Gruden in an argument with another man and intervened. Gruden then had two additional confrontations with different customers.

Gruden was arrested and then released on a personal recognizance bond.

“We are aware of the arrest of Jack Gruden,” Redskins senior vice president of communications Tony Wyllie said in a statement. “We are gathering more information and will not comment until we have further details.”

The incident took place between Exchange Street and Thorndike Street at the One Loudoun shopping center. That’s the same area where safety Montae Nicholson was arrested for domestic battery and assault in November.

Gruden joined the Redskins on a full-time basis in 2018.
