SHELBURNE, Vt. (AP) - Authorities say a fire that destroyed a home and a barn in Vermont and set off a stockpile of ammunition is considered suspicious.
Fire officials have yet to determine what caused the fire in Shelburne Tuesday.
Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze, and Vermont State Police say icy conditions made it difficult to get the fire under control.
The fire caused a stockpile of ammunition to explode, and fire officials say some shell casings flew 30-40 feet (9-12 meters) from the building.
No animals or people were injured.
Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call the Vermont Arson Tip Award Program at 1-800-32-ARSON (27766).
The program offers rewards of up to $5,000 for tips that lead to an arrest.
