AMORY, Miss. (AP) - Officials say a northeast Mississippi man was shot and killed after he broke into a home and was killed by a resident.
Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell tells WTVA-TV that 38-year-old Andrew Culver died in a home near Amory.
Cantrell says residents told deputies that they awoke to growling noises and a male resident found Culver in the kitchen around 1 a.m. Friday, after Culver appeared to have kicked in the door.
