BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - A Butte woman charged with negligent homicide in the death of a 76-year-old pedestrian has changed her plea to guilty.
The Montana Standard reports that 56-year-old Christol Riddle Williamson entered her new plea Friday in the 2017 death of Dan Lean.
She faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000. The judge ordered a pre-sentencing investigation but didn’t set a sentencing date.

Prosecutors say Williamson was driving before sunrise with no lights when her car struck and killed Lean on Dec. 6, 2017.
Authorities said Williamson told police she had taken the prescribed drug Adderall, an amphetamine stimulant. Court documents say tests detected amphetamine and a sedative in her blood.
Lean was a longtime Butte teacher and coach and regularly went walking in the morning.
